Building interest in the running of businesses and the issues they face, and the external business environment in which business operate via real-life and relevant business contexts. Supporting students in building the knowledge and comprehension of business concepts that are needed to set up, run and grow a business, and supporting them in building their skills of analysis, synthesis and evaluation. The main aim is to get students to know about internal factors from within a business and external factors outside it that influence business and to comprehend and then discuss the extent to which they affect success or failure.
