    We are seeking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer who can provide high quality strategic leadership and management of the Trust’s financial functions.

    We are a growing Multi-Academy Trust, based in the northern area of the London Borough of Bexley.  Our Trust comprises of both Church and Community schools, where strong Christian values are at the centre of everything we do. This is an exciting opportunity to join us as we expand, the candidate will play an important part in supporting the Trust’s development and expansion.

    The Chief Financial Officer will be directly responsible to the Chief Executive.

    As a member of the Executive Team, you will provide strategic and financial advice and will have overall responsibility for the effective delivery of all of the financial operations and services across the Trust, including line management of the Finance Team.    

    You will be proactive in developing new systems, ensuring that they are fully up to date with the latest financial regulations, including those within the Academies Financial Handbook.    A key aspect of the role will be to ensure that accurate financial information is available to inform decisions and all statistical and budgetary returns are completed in a timely manner.

    Experience within education, whilst valuable, is not as critical to us as finding a candidate who will reflect the values and working practices of this welcoming Trust at a senior level.

    We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, capable and innovative Teacher of Science with a specialism in Chemistry to teach across the age and ability range.  The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a determination to improving student outcomes and be exceptionally motivated and committed to achieving the very highest standards.

    Applications are welcome from people at any stage of their career.

    For an excellent candidate the possibility of an earlier start date will be considered.

    Science is a thriving and popular subject at the heart of our Church of England School with all pupils studying at least Core and Additional Science until the end of KS4 and with many continuing to A Level in the Sixth Form.  Our most able pupils study Biology, Chemistry and Physics as separate subjects from Year 9.

    Science is taught in a suite of well resourced, designated rooms.  Students follow the AQA syllabus for GCSE, and OCR for A Level Chemistry.

    Science GCSE A* - C             66%    

    Chemistry A Level – A* - E     100%

    Biology A Level – A* - E         100%

    Physics A Level – A* - E         100%
