    We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a fixed term contract to join our friendly and dedicated team, 5 days a week, term time only on a fixed term contract initially to the end of summer term 2018.     St. Paul’s (Slade Green) Primary School is a dynamic, forward thinking learning community for pupils aged 4-11. We seek to challenge our pupils’ perceptions and aim to equip them with the skills to be independent and resilient learners.

    We are looking for an Assistant Caretaker to support the work of our Premises Manager at the school. The successful candidate will have a flexible and positive approach to the job.

    Key responsibilities of the role include being one of the main key holders, locking the school in the evenings, general maintenance of the school and ensuring health and safety, security and cleanliness standards are upheld at all times. 

    Typical hours will be 15:00 - 18:00 daily.  There will be a requirement to be flexible and at times, there may also be the opportunity to work extra hours for specific events.

    The ideal candidate will have: 

    ·         Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably in a school setting

    ·         Strong communication skills and a flexible approach

    ·         The ability to work under pressure, use initiative and manage conflicting priorities

    ·         Knowledge and experience of maintenance and health and safety compliance
