Spiritual Garden
Dear Parent(s)/Carer(s)
Your children may have mentioned to you the landscaping which has started this week under a large oak tree on our site. I am writing to let you know of this new project for Trinity's 15th anniversary year, the creation of a Spiritual Garden. The garden will contain features carefully chosen to enable pupils and staff to pray, reflect and remember. A computer-generated impression of how part of the garden will look appears on our website (http://www.trinity.bexley.sch.uk/). This is a huge project which will cost around £10,000 to complete. Work on the garden has already started and it will be opened on Trinity Day, 14th May 2010, by the Bishop of Tonbridge.
At Trinity we have a tradition of generous help for various charities - Great Ormond Street Hospital, DEBRA, Demelza House Children's Hospice and many, many more - and this year will be no exception. We have, however decided that half of all funds raised will go to our garden project, to be added to other, more direct fund raising.
Even with all our efforts, it will be difficult to raise such a large sum of money. If you know of any possible source of funding for this project, I would be very grateful to hear from you.
Yours sincerely
I F Collins
