In the summer of 2016 Trinity pupils and staff made the 31 hour journey from Trinity School to Mpwapwa in Tanzania. They visited an orphan village called Chitemo where they were welcomed with beautiful singing by the children. They spent the day playing catch, singing, playing football and introducing them to parachute games. They also delivered lessons for both adults and children on RE, Chemistry, Sex Education and HIV awareness. They visited a clinic where they saw the work done by doctors and nurses for women’s health, including the maternity ward, and helped with weighing babies and administration. They also worked to decorate the outside of the building to give it a much needed facelift. Every evening they came together as a group for prayer and to talk about their experiences that day. This video shows some of the highlights.
